Last night before I sleep..I browsed through the Crackberry Forum and landed on the section of ex blackberry users. It was funny reading through their post about what they missed the most after leaving the Blackberry world. I couldn’t agree more what they’ve said really suits my feelings as well.
Alas, as a conclusion, these are the thing I miss the most about a Blackberry Smartphone:
1) LED Notifications
2) BBM
3) Push notification for almost everything!
4) Powerful Battery Life (even though I always had to charge my phone everynight)
5) THE KEYBOARD!!
I’ve been an extensive user of a Blackberry, despite different models, all of their phones delivers the same experience albeit some models are really slow.
These are the list of Blackberry phones I’ve used:
1) Curve 8900
2) Storm 9530
3) Blackberry 8700g
4) Storm 9550
5) Bold 9000
6) Bold 9900
So now that I’ve jumped ship to Android phones, would I ever go back to being a Blackberry user? I say YES. But right now, I’m not a busy person who always rely on emails, I guess I’m settled with my Milestone. The reason being is that, on Android, I have the freedom to customize everything and I enjoy doing that.
But if the time comes for me to be a serious smartphone user which requires a maximum connectivity purpose, then I might switchback to Blackberry. I could care less about the upcoming BBX OS phones which IMHO, are targeted towards public average phone users. You have to bear in mind that before Blackberry received all this hype, the company (RIM) started as a pager provider. Then from there onward, they advanced into the encrypted email services for business users. Therefore, that;s why I said, if I really into communication business, I will choose Blackberry without any doubt.
How about cloud computing that iOS5 offers nowadays? Well I guess, whatever label they are using, it is Apple. Thus, when it comes to Apple they only sell brands. I’m not saying that their products are unreliable, but it’s just matter of fashion rather than a must have gadget. Thanks to their extensive app support, iPhone users are much more contented with what apps they can download rather than the technologies offered by Apple. By right, Apple is a state of the art smartphone with the best full touch screen experience.
The only drawbacks that the Blackberry has is when the server outage occurs. Well, you have to expect that no matter what. In order to maintain a server which provides always on connectivity, the server outages is a norm. You gotta deal with that. There is no perfect smartphone as of now. Each one has its own weaknesses and as a user who are not equipped with these technical knowledge, it is wrong to blame RIM for all this mess.
Well I guess, that;s all for now. Catch up with you guys later
Bye!
